Week of February 23 – 26
MONDAY Intro new vocabulary (review vocab daily)
Body Parts: Fly activity
TUESDAY Modifiers: the children will describe the parts of a spider and then will make a paper spider
WEDNESDAY Visual Closure: compare and contrast birds; pick puzzle pieces, identify part and put in puzzle
THURSDAY Body Parts: read cat book and describe cats and body parts; talk about numbers; color pages in cat book
Week of March 2 - 5
MONDAY Spatial Concepts: read dog book and identify where the dog is on each page; color book pages
TUESDAY Sorting food: read Gregory, The Terrible Eater then sort food and non-food items into what is good to eat and what isn’t.
WEDNESDAY Opposites: sort cows into big/little size piles; hide a bug under a cow and have the children guess where it is by naming the “big cow” or the “little cow”.
THURSDAY Basic Concepts: using pictures of a horse, fence, hay, etc , the children will put things in specific locations (in, out, on, off, behind, next to, etc.; complete story review with felt board
