2015 Its a New Year!!!

After the busy holidays, Its nice to settle in to a routine again. We have been very busy here at the preschool in this new year. In January we learned about WINTER, and things you will find in a BAKERY. Our WINTER vocabulary included: Coat, Scarf, Gloves, Mittens, Hat, Boots, Sweater, Snow, Cold, Snowman. Our BAKERY vocabulary included: Muffin, Cake, Bread, Cookies, Bowl, Pour, Stir, Spoon, Cookie Sheet/Pan In February we are now learning about PEOPLE WHO HELP US IN THE COMMUNITY, and in the last two weeks of February we will learn about different methods of TRANSPORTATION. Our vocabulary includes: Police, Fire Fighter,Teacher, Doctor, Animal Doctor (Vet), Bus Driver, Grocer, Gardener, Garbage Man, Mechanic. Our Transportation vocabulary will include: Plane, Bus, Car, Truck, Motorcycle, Ambulance, Boat, Police Car, Fire Engine, As for the Groundhog, the verdict is still out. We have several saying an early spring, a couple saying 6 more weeks of winter, and one where the mayor says he heard the groundhog say an early spring but the groundhog's caretakers say he was wrong and the groundhog really said 6 more weeks of winter. Maybe their just trying to cover all the bases. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Don't Forget: Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on February 12/13. See you all then.
