Summer Days = Summer Daze

Well, the kids have all gone and most of our meetings for this year are complete. Wednesday's graduations were wonderful, as always. My favorite parts are always the kids singing their songs and then watching the slide show of the past year at the end. This year's songs were Alice the Camel (one of my favorites) and Wheels On the Bus. Thank you to all of those parents who were able to come and join in the festivities. I hope all will be able to come next year, too. I got a warm glow inside each time a child received an award for Most Improved Speech, or Class Chatterbox, remembering when those children first started and said very little. They all grow and progress so much during the year. Some of the children we will see during summer school, in July. Some of them we will see in the fall, and some of them we won't see again, except maybe around town, as they are going on to KINDERGARTEN! As for summer school, it will be from July 6-29 from 8:30-11:00, Mon-Thurs. That's a total of 4 weeks. Ms. Becka and I will be a therapy "sandwich". Ms. Becka will be at the school for the first and the last week of summer school and I will be here for the two middle weeks. Effectively, she will be the bread and I will be the filling in our "sandwich". We both are greatly looking forward to seeing our students in July, but until then...... Have a great summer!
